Senior General Technician
Duties & Responsibilities
Carry out installations, inspections, maintenance and repairs of electronic equipment/devices including and not limited to UHF/VHF radios, marine equipment, residential and commercial appliances, computers, CCTV, electric vehicles, HVAC and cellphones
Documenting technical findings and providing estimates/recommendations as required
Utilizing manufacturer service manuals and technical information available to perform services
Demonstrating a continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround time, streamline work processes
Working independently and as a team to provide quality seamless customer service
Maintaining a tidy and hazard free work environment
Assist in the smooth running of the business
Other ad hoc duties as required
Minimum Qualifications, Skills & Experience
City & Guilds qualifications or other international equivalent certification (or equivalent verifiable work experience)
Fully skilled technician with at least 5 years of post-apprenticeship technical experience
Ability to liaise with management, technicians and manufacturers on servicing and repairs matters
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Computer skills with applied proficiency
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to operate under pressure and work flexible shifts (including evenings, weekends and public holidays, if needed)
No previous criminal convictions
Hours/days of work
Monday – Friday, 40 hours work week, flexible/shift hours. Some overtime occasionally
